Participant groups can have a wide range of accessibility needs within them. It is important to consider this when making your Experience. Whether you are a school with special education classes and a wide range of grades or running an event where participants will have different mobility levels, making sure everyone can participate is important. Consider trying these options:
β
βOption 1: Create different pathways in your Experience for different groups. For example, are you a school that has students who are playing both in person and virtually or across multiple grades? Consider making a string of unlockable Missions for each group! You can have the first Missions be something like:
β
βMission: Virtual Students Start Here π»
Description: Share your name to unlock the virtual pathway.
Mission: Grade 8 Students Start Here π
Description: Share your name and class to unlock this pathway.
Once they are completed, have them unlock further Missions relevant to that group!
One thing to keep in mind is that participants will only be able to see submissions for Missions they have also unlocked. So in this scenario, the participants would only be able to see submissions for their group of Missions.
Sometimes you will want to avoid alienating certain participant groups, in which case you could try the Mission difficulty indication pro tip (link when live).
This will give participants access to all Missions and submissions and will have a wide range of Missions for each skill level, so everyone still has opportunities to participate.
Helpful honk πͺΏ: Participant feedback can be key! Listen to any accessibility concerns your participants might run into and adjust Missions accordingly.
