How do change the submission sources?

Updated over 11 months ago

What are submission sources?

Submission sources is a setting that controls how participants can complete a photo/video submission. There are two type of submission sources:

Live capture only

Participants can only take a photo in the moment through the Goosechase app.

Live capture & Library

Participants can either take a photo through the app, or upload a photo or video from their devices photo library. This is the default setting for Camera Missions.

How to change the submission source settings

To change the submission sources setting:
1. Click on your Mission from the Mission list

2. Select the 'Settings' page on the Mission side panel
3. Select the Drop-down under 'Submission Sources' to change the submission source

FAQ

What submission source should I use?

Live capture only is a great option for any Experience that requires participants to be in the moment and take photos/videos of things they need to find - like an Amazing Race style Experience.

When including uploads from their Library, you can allow participants to upload photos taken before the Experience, like "Share your favorite photo memory from the last year”

This is a great way to allow participants to share special moments with each other… or to just show off some goofy camera roll photos and let loose! As well, if any of your participants were limited in playing due to not having access to data/wifi while outside, they can take the photos/videos and upload them to the Goosechase app at a later time.

What the submission source settings look like for participants

Participants will see the 'Photo Library' option when Live capture & Library is enabled. They will not see the 'Photo Library' option when Live capture only is enabled.
