Getting creative with text Missions

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Many creators get stuck using text Missions as simple question-and-answer prompts, but in reality, there are lots of different ways you can use them!

  • Multiple Choice 📋: It's amazing how often this option gets overlooked! To create a multiple-choice Mission, just create a text Mission, list the options in the Mission description, and then put the correct answer in the accepted answers field. Remember to clarify how they should answer the question. For example, as them to write the answer itself or write the corresponding answer identifier (A, B ,C ,D, or 1, 2, 3, 4)

  • Creative writing 🎨: There doesn’t always need to be a set answer to text Missions. If you leave the accepted answer field blank, this allows you to create Missions that encourage more creativity from the participants. Consider having them write a 10-sentence short story, tell their best joke, recount a memory, etc. Anything to get the creative juices flowing!

  • Trivia❓: This one is a classic; create trivia questions about your event, brand, museum, or school to help educate participants (or make sure they are paying attention).

  • Riddles 🤔: Put your participants’ brains to work. Come up with a creative riddle for them to solve (even better if it is on theme with your Experience). Consider breaking the riddle into multiple Missions and have each one unlock a new clue/part of the riddle!

  • Opinions/Feedback 🙋‍♀️: Gathering feedback about your Experience or participant experiences with your organization in general is incredibly valuable. Create some open-ended text Missions where participants can share their feedback, opinions, or even ideas for future Experiences!

Helpful Honk 🪿: If you plan to use text Missions in multiple different ways, always make sure it's clear to your participants how they are supposed to answer the Mission. Including this in the Mission description is a great idea!
