🎉 Welcome aboard! Running your first Goosechase Experience is easier than you think. These tips will help you get started quickly and then take things to the next level once you’re ready.

Quick Tips (Start Here)

  1. Jumpstart Your Ideas with AI

Don’t get stuck on a blank page! The AI Mission Generator can instantly create Missions based on your theme or goal. Use the suggestions as is or tweak them to fit your Experience.

  2. Set the Tone with a Welcome Mission

A Welcome Mission is a simple way to greet players, explain the basics, and get them engaged before the real action begins. Think of it as your Experience’s “first impression.”

  3. Make Text Missions Fun

Short doesn’t mean boring. Add personality with creative text prompts like riddles, puns, or inside jokes.

  4. Elevate with Images & Links

A picture is worth a thousand words! Images or links can set the scene, provide hints, or add humor.

  5. Keep Missions Clear

Be clear in what the ask is from your participants. Clear instructions mean less confusion and more creativity from your players.

  6. Use a Mix of Mission Types

Alternate between Photos, Videos, Text and GPS (if applicable) to keep the energy up. Variety makes your Experience feel dynamic.

  7. Encourage Team Spirit

If players are playing in person in groups, add Missions that spark collaboration, like team selfies, group challenges, or creative role-play.

  8. Motivate with Prizes

Prizes aren’t required, but they add extra excitement. From funny certificates to snacks or shoutouts, our Prize Ideas list has something for every budget.

  9. Preview Before You Launch

Play through your Experience yourself. Testing helps catch unclear instructions and ensures Missions flow smoothly.

  10. Celebrate Participation

Winning isn’t everything! Use bonus points to award and comment on submissions. Call out funny, clever, or creative entries. Recognition keeps spirits high!

Beyond the Basics (Level Up)

  1. Balance the Challenge

Not too easy, not too hard. Use a Mission Difficulty Indicator to guide you in mixing quick wins with trickier tasks. You can also use an indicator if you have groups of different ages or skills.

  2. Unlock the Fun with Unlockable Missions

Unlockable Missions add suspense and pacing by revealing new challenges as teams progress. Check out 101 ideas for inspiration across classrooms, businesses, and community events.

  3. Mix It Up with Combo Missions

Combo Missions let players complete multiple submission types. Like completing a GPS mission and then taking a photo at that location using a Camera Mission. Perfect for storytelling or multi-step tasks.

  4. Set a Theme for Cohesion

Pick a theme (mystery, adventure, seasonal, or trivia) and weave it into your Missions. A consistent theme makes the Experience feel intentional.

  5. Layer in Storytelling

Frame your Missions as part of a larger journey or challenge. Even a light narrative (“you’re secret agents on a mission…”) adds to the immersion.

  6. Point Deductions for Fun

Add a twist by setting up Missions where players can lose points for silly “penalties” like forgetting to do a thumbs up in every photo, going off-theme, or breaking a funny rule. It adds humor and keeps everyone on their toes!

  7. Use Broadcasts to Engage

Send in-game Broadcasts to share updates, hints, encouragement, or surprises. It helps players feel connected and keeps momentum going.

  8. Duplicate & Reuse Your Work

Once you’ve built a solid Experience, duplicate it to reuse or adapt for new groups. A huge timesaver for repeat events.

  9. Add Local Flavor

Include Missions tied to your school, office, or community landmarks. It adds a personal touch and gets people exploring their environment.

  10. Wrap Up with Reflection

End strong with a Mission that asks players to share a highlight, funniest moment, or what they learned using a Camera or Text Mission. It provides closure and great memories for everyone.
