Creating Hidden Treasure or Easter Eggs in your Experience

Updated over 2 weeks ago

There is nothing like being rewarded for your exploration in a game or being in the right place at the right time. The idea of finding hidden treasure or an Easter Egg while during gameplay is exciting as a player because you never know what other surprises you might find along the way. You can put similar surprises in your Goosechase Experiences! Here’s how 👇

Consider adding temporary hidden Missions that unlock when a particular Mission is completed using our unlockable Missions feature in the release settings. Use them sparingly so it's more surprising when one is unlocked.

You can even set them to expire quickly so that not all players will stumble upon them. It will make it more rewarding to the players who do find them!

Make these Missions additional side quests or just free points. Make sure to set the Missions so all answers are accepted if you want players to collect the points for free!

These don't need to all be set up at the start of the game either. You can always sprinkle more of these hidden treasure Missions in as the game goes on.

Helpful honk 🪿: If you are going to set these Missions to expire, make sure you either don’t have them unlock any further Missions, or make sure those further unlocked Missions expire at the same time. That way, you don’t leave any Missions that are impossible to unlock in the Experience.
