Unlockable Mission Scenarios Explained

Updated this week

Generally, the first 4 steps below will be the typical flow that participants go through with unlockable Missions. Any locked Missions will not be visible to participants until they unlock them.

1. Mission A is released for the participant to complete

A mission progress interface showing three sequential missions labeled A, B, and C arranged horizontally. Mission A appears as a blue rounded square with a light blue letter "A" and the word "Ready" below it. Missions B and C are gray rounded squares with dark gray letters and "Locked" status. Gray padlock icons appear between the missions, indicating they're locked. Below is a progress bar that's barely filled, colored blue to light blue. At the bottom are three status boxes showing: "0 Completed", "1 Action Needed", and "2 Locked". The header reads "No submissions have been made".

2. Participant completes Mission A, and Mission B unlocks and is ready to complete.

Mission A is now a green rounded square with a dark green letter "A" and "Done" status. Mission B has changed to blue with a light blue "B" and "Ready" status. Mission C remains gray and locked. A green line now connects A to B, while a gray padlock still separates B from C. The progress bar has advanced further, showing more blue-to-cyan coloring. Status shows: "1 Completed", "1 Action Needed", "1 Locked". Header reads "After Mission A is complete".

3. Participant completes Mission B, and Mission C unlocks and is ready to complete.

Both missions A and B are now green with "Done" status. Mission C has changed to blue with "Ready" status. Green lines connect all three missions with no padlocks visible. The progress bar is nearly complete, showing full blue-to-cyan gradient. Status shows: "2 Completed", "1 Action Needed", "0 Locked". Header reads "After Mission B is complete".

4. Participant completes Mission C, all Missions are now complete.

All three missions A, B, and C are green rounded squares with "Done" status. Green lines connect all missions. The progress bar is completely filled with blue-to-cyan gradient. Status shows: "3 Completed", "0 Action Needed", "0 Locked". Header reads "All Missions complete".

Here are a few additional scenarios you may run into:

1. Participant's submission for Mission B was rejected or Deleted. They had not yet completed Mission C, so it will be re-locked until Mission B is completed again.

Mission A remains green with "Done" status. Mission B has changed to red with a light pink "B" and "Redo" status. Mission C is back to gray and "Locked". A green line connects A to B, but a gray padlock now separates B from C again. The progress bar shows partial completion. Status shows: "1 Completed", "1 Action Needed", "1 Locked". Header reads "Mission B requires resubmission and C has no submission".

2. Participant's submission for Mission B was rejected or Deleted and has reopened to be re-completed. They have completed Mission C, so it will remain completed.

Mission A is green with "Done" status. Mission B remains red with "Redo" status. Mission C is now green with "Done" status. Green lines connect A to B and B to C. The progress bar shows significant completion. Status shows: "2 Completed", "1 Action Needed", "0 Locked". Header reads "Mission B requires resubmission and C has a submission".

3. Participant's submission for Mission C was rejected or Deleted and has reopened to be re-completed. Missions A and B will remain completed.

Missions A and B are green with "Done" status. Mission C has changed to red with a light pink "C" and "Redo" status. Green lines connect all three missions. The progress bar shows significant but not complete progress. Status shows: "2 Completed", "1 Action Needed", "0 Locked". Header reads "Mission C's submission was deleted or rejected".
