GooseChase organizers are able to invite collaborators to co-manage their games from another account. Game co-managers will find games they are co-managing listed on their My Games page in their Game Manager, and are able to edit missions, players, start and end time, and all other settings and attributes of co-managed games.

In order to invite another organizer to co-manage your game, click the gear that appears on the right side of the game when you hover your mouse over it in the My Games menu and select Share Game from the dropdown

Or click the arrow at the bottom left corner of the left-side menu below the game code within the game itself to find the Co-Managing tab.

You may invite other organizers to co-manage your game by enabling the shareable link, or by sending an email invite.

Sending an invite to co-manage a game by shareable link

On the Co-Managing Tab, you may create a co-managing invite link by clicking Enable Sharable Link. Once enabled, you will see an additional dropdown where you can select if anyone with the link can co-manage the game, or if they can do so after their request to co-manage the game is approved by a current co-manager.

We recommend setting this to “Anyone with this link can request to edit” unless everyone that the shareable link is being sent to can be trusted to only share the link with those intended to have co-managing access to the game. Any active co-managing approval requests will show up in the Co-Managing tab for all current co-managers, as well as in Pending Request from the dropdown menu when a current co-manager clicks their username at the top right corner of the Game Manager.

The recipient of the shareable link will be taken to the game’s co-managing invite page, and may click the Co-Manage Game button to start co-managing the game. If the recipient is not signed into a GooseChase organizer account, the co-managing invite page will first ask them to log in, or create a new organizer account.

Example of co-managing invite page

Sending an email invite to co-manage a game

On the Co-Managing tab, you may enter the email address of the organizer you wish to co-manage the game with to send them an email invite. The email will contain a private link that takes them to the co-managing invite page, where they are able to click the Co-Manage Game button to become a co-manager. If the recipient is not signed into a GooseChase organizer account, the co-managing invite page will first ask them to log in, or create a new organizer account.

Alternatively, invited co-managers signed into their GooseChase organizer accounts can navigate to Pending Invites from the dropdown when they click on their username at the top right corner of the Game Manager to accept any pending game co-manager invites.

Removing a co-manager from a game

To remove another co-manager from a game, click the gear next to the co-manager’s email address in the game’s Co-Managing tab. The original creator of the game will be designated the Owner, and all other co-managers designated Admins. All Owners and Admins of a co-managed game are able to remove other co-managers, with the exception that the Owner can never be removed from co-managing a game.

If an organizer deletes their GooseChase account, any games that they are an Owner of will also be deleted. There is no way to directly transfer ownership of a game. However, organizers may copy the contents of a game and add it to their account. Please see Copying a Game to Another Organizer Account for more details.
