In terms of major functionality, our mobile app and our browser based web app are pretty identical. So in most cases, it comes down to which option is most convinent for you with the devices you have!
However, there are a few small differences:
Notifications
It is not currently possible to receive push notifications while using the web app. Notifications will still appear within the notifications tab in the web app. But they will not come through as push notifications on your device.
If you want to make sure you are staying up-to-date on the newest Mission releases and messages from your creator, then downloading the mobile app may be a better fit for you, as it can send push notifications.
Automatic photo downloads
On the mobile app, there is the option to have the photo and video submissions you take within the app download to your mobile device automatically. This is not currently a feature within the web app.
So if you want easy access to your Goosechase submissions within your camera roll, the mobile app may be the better fit.
App restrictions
Some schools and workplaces have strict policies on making students or employees download apps. If that is the case, then the web app would be the best option, as it can be played directly within a browser with no installation required.
If your network has a firewall or any blockers, however, you will still want to make sure that the URL play.goosechase.com is cleared, as it may still cause issues with photo and video uploads within the web app.
