How do I hide the leaderboard in my Experience?

Updated over a week ago

It is now possible to change the visibility settings of the leaderboard in your Experience. Here's how:

Note: Leaderboard Visibility settings only affect the participant mobile app view. Creators always see the full leaderboard in Studio.

1. Navigate to the "leaderboard" tab under the "Review" page of the studio

3. Select one of the three options from the dropdown menu:

  • Leaderboard is visible: This is the default setting where all participants/teams are able to see the leaderboard within the app and their own ranking.

  • Hidden until I reveal it: This setting will hide the leaderboard from all participants until you manually choose to reveal it. A blue button to "Reveal now" will appear after this option is selected. While hidden participants/teams won't be able to see the rankings or scores of other participants/teams. They also won't be able to see their own ranking but can still see how many points they have.

  • Hidden until the Experience ends: This setting will hide the leaderboard from all participants until the Experience reaches its scheduled end time. At that time, the leaderboard will become visible for everyone. While hidden participants/teams won't be able to see the rankings or scores of other participants/teams. They also won't be able to see their own rankin,g but can still see how many points they have.

FAQ

Do participants receive a notification when the leaderboard is revealed manually by the creator and/or at the end of the Experience?

No, at this time no notification will be sent out to participants; however, this is a feature we are working on adding. We recommend letting participants know that the leaderboard is now visible by sending them a broadcast.
