Why is my team locked?

When inviting others to join your team, or when trying to join a team yourself, you may encounter a lock icon next to the team photo.

If you see this icon, it means that the team is at its size capacity and there isn't space for anyone else to join.

In this case, we recommend contacting your Experience creator directly to either increase the team size or provide insight into the maximum team size. If you are unsure of how to contact them, please refer to this article.

What if I am the only person who has joined my team so far, and my teammates still see the lock icon?

If you are the only person on this team and your teammates are still seeing the lock icon when they try to join, it could mean two things:

1. The creator of the Experience has disabled the option to play in teams and has set the game to individual mode.

If that is the case you will only be able to play in solo mode. We recommend contacting your creator for clarification on this setting.

2. If your Experience allows both teams and individual profiles, you may have accidentally joined as a solo participant.

This can happen if you select the "Flying solo" option at sign-up instead of "Part of a flock". If this is the case, you have a couple options:

  • Contact the creator of the Experience and ask them to convert your profile from an individual player to a team profile.

  • Leave the Experience and rejoin using the "Part of a flock" option. This article will show you how to leave an Experience.
